How to create a validation report?

You can request a validation, once you have a Revit project and a Hysopt model linked and mapped to each other.

    1. Click the validate button in the tab Validation

    2. The validation report window opens.

    3. The Hysopt BIM Syncer will validate the models and mappings. The validation generates outputs which can be viewed in the validation report.

What does a validation report look like?

    Hysopt Validation Report

What is validated in a validation report?

    The validation checks 3 items:

    • Mapping: Mapping validation validates if elements are mapped.

      • General

      • Components

      • Pipes

      • Zones

    • Semantics: Semantic validation validates if mapped elements have the same function/ role in the installation. This is done by checking the classification of elements.

      • Components:

    • Data: Data validation validates if pipe or zone parameters are synchronised.

      • Pipes

      • Zones

    Type of validation outputs

There are four types of validation outputs:

    Success

    Info

    Warning

    Filter validation outputs

    Type filter

You can filter validation outputs based on types.

    Content filter

You can filter validation outputs based on content.

    Revalidate

If changes are made to the Revit project/ Hysopt model or you solved validation errors and warnings. You need to revalidate.

    Download as Excel spreadsheet

An Excel spreadsheet of the validation report can be downloaded.

    Download as Excel spreadsheet

If you click the download as Excel spreadsheet button, a save as window will open. Specify a file name and location for the validation report.

By clicking save, a toast message appears to mention that the file download is successful. There is an option to open the Excel spreadsheet or to convert it into a Revit sheet. Export Validation report

An Excel spreadsheet of the validation report includes all the validation outputs. The validation outputs are sorted by the 3 validation items (Mapping, Semantics and Data)
