The production cooling library is very similar to the Production Heating library, with chillers being comparable to boilers, heat pumps being comparable, and the newly added ice storage tank.

Chiller with setpoint (simplified chiller)

The chiller generates the temperature given as the setpoint. This works similarly to the boiler model explained in the Boilers section. The KV-value is the parameter that needs to be set, using the pop-up window. Furthermore, the EER can be filled in, which will be used as an estimation throughout the year.

Chiller/heat pump

Most of the information on this chiller can also be found in this section (Heat pump), as it is the same component, only for cooling. The main difference of this component is the use of an EER-table instead of a COP table.

Note: for a chiller the evaporator heat exchanger of the heat pump is connected to the cooling network, the condensor heat exchanger will extract the cold from the air.
