Hysopt BIM Syncer can create a P&ID model (calculation model) from a Revit model. It uses a smart algorithm that first identifies the end units (heat emitters) in your system, such as radiators, fan coils, or floor heating. Then, it analyses how the system is connected with components and pipes, such as pumps, valves, or fittings. The algorithm stops when it reaches a production unit, such as a boiler, chiller, or heat pump. This way, Hysopt BIM Syncer can generate a complete and accurate P&ID model of your system.

Basecircuit placeholders
The generated model contains is created with “Base Circuit placeholders”
because not all components are ‘recognizable’(standardization issue)
o nly only if classification is available (ETIM, uniclass , omniclass , .CBNL, if classification is available, we will add correct generation in the future
sbecause
because sometimes components are not completely drawn
(e.g. floorheating , see next
For most of the calculations supported by the BIM
Syncer
we don’t necessarily need to replace these placeholders
Except for following two exceptions :
System check pump
Pipe calculations regime changing components (see following example)
Semantic validation (see further)
Header configurations (see further)
Activate the “Sync views” and verify that also the mapping has been generated.
Click on some pipes and elements in Hysopt or Revit, and verify that the ‘counterpart’ is highlighted
Example : placeholder for a component in the supply
