Parameterisation & usage

A setpoint generator is used to create a square wave fully depending on the parameters chosen.

The day (D) setpoint is the setpoint between start (S) and end (E) time. The night setpoint (N) is the setpoint when this is not active. You can set a range to add randomness to your simulations, as not everyone will set their heating on at 8h exactly.

By clicking exclude weekends, the weekends will be kept on the night setpoint and a holiday period can be added to also have a continuous night setpoint during that period.

By clicking profile type at the top of the parameterisation you can choose 4 different options:

  1. Continuous: keeps the day setpoint constantly

  2. Unimodal: 1 time step per day

  3. Bimodal: 2 time steps per day

  4. Trimodal: 3 time steps per day
