Hysopt Library
5a. Base Circuit Library
This contains all the different base circuits you might need to draw a model. Base circuits are the building blocks of your model in which you can fill in specific properties of that base circuit. Base circuits can be divided into three major classes, namely production units, end units and in-between units. The illustration below shows a heating circuit on which these classes are indicated.

In the table below you find all the BCs of the illustration with the classes and the library where to find them to explain the structure of the basic library. All of the BCs come from the heating library but don’t worry, the cooling library has the same structure.

5b. Snippet library
As part of the Hysopt BC library, Hysopt also provides commonly-used configurations for a particular BC under the form of snippets. Snippets can be accessed by clicking the expand icon 
in the bottom-right corner of a base circuit in the library. The expand icon will open the snippet pop-up window with all available snippets for that particular base circuit. When selecting a snippet from the pop-up window, the snippet is pasted as a group onto your canvas. More information about snippets can be here: snippets

 | Open model explorer | The model explorer is used to open/create new models/folders, import models with tokens and move folders and models. |
 | Save model | This is used to save your model. |
 | Copy model | This opens a pop-up screen where you can give your current model another name and another location. This is the same as a ‘save as' function. |

11. Perspectives
To prevent the software from becoming too confusing, some buttons or parameters of base circuits are hidden behind layers. Perspectives are used to reveal these hidden layers.

 | Advanced | Enables you to show or hide parameters classified as "Advanced”, allowing you to focus on essential, easy-to-understand parameters. |
 | Simulation | Enables you to show or hide parameters that are only relevant for simulation purposes. This layer is used to parameterise the dynamic behaviour of the installation. |
 | Partial load analysis | Allows you to analyse the model in partial load. This layer is mostly used to analyse balancing and valve authorities in partial load situations. |
 | Sensitivity Analysis | Allows you to highlight certain base circuit parameters that you want to adapt in a sensitivity analysis. |
