The comparison creates a high (“1') signal if input A is larger than input B.

The comparison creates a low (“0”) signal if input A is smaller than input B.

Example

In the example also used for the activator, the sensor from a buffer vessel is compared to a setpoint temperature to (de)activate the heat pump.
