Step 5.4: Pareto-analysis and reporting
Once the model is optimised and different configurations are tested, it is time to analyse the results. Hysopt uses a very powerful tool to summarize and compare results. This tool is called the ‘Pareto analysis’. More information about it can be found on its Hysopt Wiki page here: Pareto analysis: usage
For a conceptual study where new low-carbon heat sources are inserted into an existing system, it is interesting to have a look at the contributions of the different heat sources over the different variants (e.g. gas boiler vs. heat pump). This has an impact on electricity and gas consumption and therefore also on the energy bills and CO2 emissions.
