District Heating

Introduction

These BCs, as the name suggest, are typically used in the design of District Heating schemes.

Dwelling indicator

For District Heating design and for the application of diversity for Domestic Hot Water (DHW) or central heating (CH),
it is important to know the number of dwellings, and the boundary of a dwelling.
Therefor the Hysopt software will keep track of these dwellings

When HIU's are used within an appartment, the HIU will automatically be seen as the boundary of a dwelling.

However, when the dwellings only consist of radiators (no heating for Domestic Hot Water),
you can use the "Dwelling Indicator" to indicate the boundary of a dwelling.
See the model below for an example.

When you apply a Dynamic Label on a pipe, the number of dwellings will be displayed on the pipe.
